Organization Profile

The executive committee is comprised of a President, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Past President, Area Chairs and Committee Chairs. Due to the size of NYS, the counties are divided into Areas I, II, III, and IV.

Probation, as operated by the 57 counties and the City of New York, is responsible for services for the Family and Criminal Courts of New York to include:

	Family Court Intake, Juvenile Delinquency and PINS
	Conducting pre-sentence, pre-plea, dispositional, custody and visitation investigations.
	Supervising juvenile and adult offenders who receive a probation term.
	Collecting and dispersing restitution.
	Pre-trial release and supervision.
	Operation of many Alternative to Incarceration Programs.
